The main characteristics of FKM are:
High temperature resistance.
Dielectric resistance.
It has better resistance to most fluids and chemicals than non-fluorinated elastomers, especially to fuel oil, lubricating oil and
most inorganic acids, good resistance to the high temperature compression set.
Good weather resistance.
Good electrical insulation.
Good fire resistance.
Disadvantages.
High embrittlement temperature and poor cold resistance.
Poor extension.
Poor resistance to the erosion of strong bases.
Poor resistance to the low molecular ketones and ethers.
